Walter Football is speculating that one possible reason McDaniels changed his mind is that he found out Andrew Luck is much worse than reported. If Luck is in fact done could the Colts keep that quiet? The Colts could leapfrog the Giants with a trade for the number one pick. The good news about that is if they want a QB, Barkley stays on the board. Also if someone is looking to trade up for a QB they have to get to pick one or two putting the Giants in play. Just a rumor that Luck is done could have the same effect. How do you see this playing out, if at all.
franchise QB is effed up make a job MORE attractive? Because he can go out and draft "his" guy? I don't know, man.
Disregard my first comment -- I did not see that McD is now out. I read OP wrong.
They need more players than we do...including OL.
if they aren't satisfied w/ QB #3...presuming we take one....they likely take Chubb and live with Brissett or get a vet backup.
dances to a different tune. They don't know who their HC will be. Not sure you can predict what they will or won't do.
I used to be a big fan, but that site is cess. It's really sad.
Makes no sense. They already have the 4 pick and 3 2nd rounders. Theres only so many guys you can roster and it eats away at the cap.
The Colts arent trading up. They need too many things, no one knows if Luck can return even them. Too much uncertainty. Peyton returned from a career ending injury and posted MVp years, TD record setting years, made 2 SBs, won 1 SB and 4 1 seeds. They will see Luck out.
This is a QB heavy draft. So they can sit at 3 and still get one. Giants/Browns could pass.
Colts more likely to deal down IMO.0
and look at his shoulder after he accepted the Job from Indy? And now Indy is going to leap frog teams to grab a QB?
Jesus Christ, this shit people make up is Un Fucking Believable. You people actually believe this stuff??
Have to think Luck played at least some role in McDaniels backing out.
before heís even an employee is so far fetched itís laughable.
That the reason McDaniels backed out is that he suspects BB will be leaving in the next yr or 2 and that he's the heir apparent.
Andrew Luck? Also you guys are ignoring that facts are not always relevant in a draft. Sometimes all it takes is rumors to motivate a GM in a draft to make a trade. Rumors create the fear and panic that are typical of some strange trades. Rumors of Andrew Luck's demise have been out there for some time now.
and said that McDaniels never met or spoke with Luck.
FWIW. I don't see much reason for Colts to smokescreen. If they are in fact satisfied with Luck and open to trading down, everyone's going to know.
if Indy takes a round 1 QB, it's saying that Andrew's luck has run out.
